How you get it done: Clearing away the snow

Few weather phenomena give rise to such mixed emotions as snow. It’s pretty and comforting to watch when you have time to spare, but a major irritation when you need to get to work and the drive has been covered by a thick blanket of it overnight.

Make light work of a heavy task.

The good old shovel works just fine for clearing the snow from narrow paths. But when you have a long drive and the snow is a metre deep, a snow blower is well worth considering. Today’s machines are easy to adjust and use.

Another option is to fit your garden tractor with a snow blade – handy to have if the snow plough is taking its time.
