The new McCulloch front mower makes lawn mowing feel like a drag race

For the McCulloch product development team, work gets most exciting when they get to create a whole new garden product. Such was the case when the new front mower was born. Global Product Manager Kalle Lind tells us more:

“We noticed there was a gap in our range where we had no products to compete with the other garden brands. We wanted to see what we could come up with – and we also knew that we had to do it better than them, so we used all our knowledge and experience in the process. The result was a ride-on mower with the best manoeuvrability and traction on the home market.”

Front-mounted cutting deck for excellent manoeuvrability

With its front-mounted cutting deck, the McCulloch front mower offers a great overview of the working area and the rear-steering provides heightened manoeuvrability. That means getting very close to trees, bushes and other objects in the garden, keeping uncut areas to a bare minimum.

“Compared to mowers with mid-mounted cutting decks, the new front mower has a much better manoeuvrability,” Kalle continues. “You don’t have to do any unnecessary re-positioning or turning – and this saves a lot of time.”

Design inspired by hot rods

The new front mower is a perfect example of McCulloch’s product thinking when it comes to performance, user comfort, and safety. Its striking exterior design was created simultaneously, with the same level of care and boldness.

“While looking for inspiration, we came across a team of hot rod enthusiasts – and their strong, aggressive-looking cars seemed to match our vision perfectly,” says Brand Design Manager Jens Näslund. “The aerodynamic shape of the rear body, the stripped-down design, the short front fenders, and the grille-shaped ventilation on the front mower are some of the things we borrowed from the classic hot rod design.”

The powerful design and the compact shape make the front mower a true eye-catcher – and it will probably make your neighbours a bit extra annoyed when you’re mowing your lawn.

The McCulloch front mower is available in two versions: The highly capable entry level M105-97F and the extra powerful M125-97FH, equipped with a smooth, foot-operated hydrostatic transmission.
