For the McCulloch product development team, work gets extremely exciting when they get to design and create a whole new garden product – and this was exactly the case when the new front mower was born!
Global Product Manager Kalle Lind tells us more:“We noticed there was a gap in our range where we had no products to compete with the other garden brands. We wanted to see what we could come up with – and we also knew that we had to do it better than them, so we used all our knowledge and experience in the process. The result was a ride-on mower with the best manoeuvrability and traction on the home market.”
The new front mower is a perfect example of McCulloch’s forward-thinking about products, when it comes down to performance, user comfort, and safety. It has a striking exterior design which was created simultaneously, with the same level of care and boldness that comes with the McCulloch brand itself.
“While looking for inspiration, we came across a team of hot rod enthusiasts – and their strong, aggressive-looking cars seemed to match our vision perfectly,” says Brand Design Manager Jens Näslund. “The aerodynamic shape of the rear body, the stripped-down design, the short front fenders, and the grille-shaped ventilation on the front mower are some of the things we borrowed from the classic hot rod design.”
The look and features that come with the new M125-85F and the even more superior M125-85FH, are typically McCulloch. Strong, bold, powerful and statement-worthy. The powerful design and compact shape, makes the front mowers to be truly eye-catching products. It will probably make your neighbours extra annoyed too, when they see your new swanky purchase.
“Compared to mowers with mid-mounted cutting decks, the new front mower has a much better manoeuvrability,” Kalle continues. “You don’t have to do any unnecessary re-positioning or turning – and this saves a lot of time.”
Features such as key start, easy-access controls and cast iron rear-end frame, make these mowers really stable, and more importantly – comfortable to use. The impressive 2-in-1 cutting deck is delivered in mulching mode, but for side ejection cutting, all you have to do is attach the deflector. The FH model is equipped with pedal-operated hydrostatic transmission for easy speed and direction changes. It has also been awarded a reddot design award, which is one of the world’s largest and most distinguished design competitions.
